Writing Samples
Below are some examples of my writing style in a variety of formats. I mostly write lecture notes and instructions for students. I have not yet had the chance to write a press release, however I am confident I can write quality press releases when required. Another skill I have is editing others' writing. I often have to edit the content clients give me for their graphics and websites not just for grammar and mechanics, but to structure the writing to be more acceptable for the web.
Lecture notes example...
Below is a screenshot of some lecture notes I wrote for my Web Design I class. This also demonstrates exceptional content design as these were all built to be readable and aesthetically pleasing for the web.
College announcement example...
When the Marketing Director quit at MCC I knew that I had a news worthy announcement but had to write as much detail as I could into it for whoever would be writing press releases in her absence. When I sent the announcement out I made sure it was as close to a press release style as I could to make it easier on whomever was going to write the official release.
Coding is the New Superpower - Blog Post example...
Example of a blog post I created around the topic of coding and how it is a new essential skill for students today.
5-Year Plan and Multimedia Plan of Study
The most recent writing I have done for my Multimedia program includes a 5-Year Plan and a Plan of Study. Both documents are used to help guide the program, but in different ways. The 5-Year Plan helps us come up with goals on how to sustain and grow the Multimedia program. The Plan of Study is a document created to help middle school and high school students plan their learning pathway toward the program and their future career goals. The visual pathway documents (more visual than these) are something I am working to design, write, and create with Danielle Schiel at Brush High School during the next year as a tool for counselors, parents, and students.
